Who should book a tele-consult?

Tele-consultation is ideal for patients who need Dr. Bhatt's expertise but cannot easily travel to Noida or Delhi — whether due to distance, work, mobility, or geography. The clinical depth is similar to an in-person consultation; the difference is logistical, not medical.

Common scenarios:

• i. First opinions for patients in tier-2 and tier-3 Indian cities
• ii. International patients exploring India for transplant
• iii. Follow-up consultations after an in-person evaluation
• iv. Second opinions where a physical examination is not essential
• v. Family discussions to coordinate care across countries

How it works.

1. i.
   Booking. Submit the appointment form selecting "video consultation" as preferred location, or message us directly via WhatsApp.
2. ii.
   Confirmation & pre-call upload. A secure link is shared via WhatsApp, along with a prompt to upload lab reports and imaging at least 24 hours before the call.
3. iii.
   Pre-call review. Dr. Bhatt reviews your records before the consultation. Time on the call is spent on discussion, not on slow record-reading.
4. iv.
   The video call. 30 — 45 minutes on a secure platform — history-taking, discussion, treatment recommendations, questions answered.
5. v.
   Digital prescription. A signed digital prescription is issued within 2 hours of the call — fillable at any pharmacy in India or abroad.
6. vi.
   WhatsApp follow-up. A summary message — diagnosis, plan, next steps — is sent within 24 hours. Subsequent questions are answered via WhatsApp.

Technical requirements.

The video platform works on any modern smartphone, tablet, or laptop. No app installation required.

• Connection: stable broadband or 4G/5G, minimum 2 Mbps
• Browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge — current version
• Audio: headphones recommended for clarity
• Environment: a quiet, well-lit room — for both patient and any family member joining

When tele-consultation is not enough.

Some clinical situations require an in-person visit, no matter how high the video resolution. Dr. Bhatt will recommend an in-person follow-up in any of these cases:

• — Pre-transplant evaluation (the surgical assessment requires physical exam)
• — Suspected acute or rapidly-progressing kidney injury
• — Findings on imaging that may require biopsy
• — Patients with significant fluid overload or cardiac instability
• — Where the diagnosis cannot be made remotely with confidence

In these cases, the tele-consult fee is fully credited towards the in-person visit at Max Noida or Holy Family Delhi.

Privacy & security.

All consultations are conducted on a secure, encrypted platform. The video is not recorded unless explicitly requested by the patient and consented to in writing. Records uploaded for review are stored per our Privacy Policy and the DPDP Act, 2023.
